Chairperson Thompson called the meeting to order at 7 p.m.

Members Present: Otis Thompson – Chairperson, Walter Rumery, Kim Matthews, Jonathan Radtke, Ben Meiklejohn, Tae Chong

Members not Present: Teri McRae, Herb Adams, James DiMillo

To hear a report on the Youth Innovation fund for Portland Schools

Ken Holdsman, representative from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, and Ainsley Wallace, Portland Partnership, spoke briefly to the Committee regarding the $200,000 grant that has been awarded to the Portland Partnership and Portland Public Schools by the Kellogg Foundation. This grant will support a program that puts young people in charge of identifying concerns in the community and figuring out how to solve them.

2. Consideration and action to go into Executive Session to finalize the superintendent’s contract

At 7:30 p.m. Mr. Chong moved, seconded Mr. Rumery and voted unanimously to go into Executive Session to finalize the superintendent’s contract.

At 8:13 p.m. it was moved, seconded and voted unanimously to come out of Executive Session.
