Mr. Coyne called the meeting to order at 4pm.

Members present: Rebecca Minnick, Robert O’Brien, Lori Gramlich, Joshua Tingley, Jules Szanton, John Coyne, Sarah Thompson, Kathleen Snyder, Jaimey Caron, Susan Hopkins, Peter Eglinton

Members not present: Joel Daley

Invocation: By Rev. Charles Grindle, First Parish Church, Portland

Pledge of Allegiance led by Cassidy and Delaney Coyne.

Linda Cohen, City Clerk, swore in new School Committee members.

Roll Call – Members present: Sarah Thompson, Rebecca Minnick, Robert O’Brien, Simon Thompson, Jaimey Caron, Kathleen Snyder, John Gjika, Peter Eglinton, Justin Costa, Marnie Morrione, Elizabeth Holton, Ness Smith-Savedoff

Mr. O’Brien moved, seconded Ms. Minnick and voted unanimously to appoint Peter Eglinton as Chairperson for the 2008-2009 school year. (Students voted with majority)

Inaugural address by Mr. Eglinton

Mr. Caron moved, seconded Ms. Thompson and voted unanimously to appoint Kathleen Snyder as Finance Committee Chairperson for the 2008-2009 school year. (Students voted with majority)

Mr. Eglinton announced the next meeting of the School Committee – Wed., Dec. 3, 2008,

7 p.m., Room 250, Casco Bay High School

Benediction – By Rev. Charles Grindle, First Parish Church, Portland

Ms. Thompson moved, seconded Ms. Snyder and voted unanimously to adjourn the meeting at 4:45pm. (Students voted with majority)
