CBHS/PATHS Data Review:

 

Summary of Findings:

 

CBHS-

  • 9th gr capped at 70 students
  • Total is 256 but figures it will settle at 250 for school
  • Has 6 blocks –to compare PHS has 8 blocks- 6 year long blocks, 2 electives, 1 crew- earn approx 13 credits per year
  • Students take sciences in the order of Biology, Physics and then Chemistry whereas the other HS take then Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry and then Physics
  • Reviewed class sizes, avg class sizes and teachers by subject matter
  • Derek presented a CBHS staffing summary and explained the differences from Power School and why Powerschool is not clear
  • Reviewed typical school schedule at CBHS

 

PATHS-

  • 22 Program instructors
  • 1 Playto lab which is an intervention class
  • 7 Ed Techs
  • Reviewed who were the sending schools to PATHS
  • Dana will bring to next meeting the trend data in programs
  • Dana will provide at the next meeting % of kids on IEP’s
  • 2 instructors are Carl Perkins grant funded
  • 17 of 22 instructors are teaching semester courses-larger in the 2nd semester
  • 11 kids per session they shoot for or 22 between both session to justify the program
  • Fast Foods and Woodworking are designated Spec Ed programs
