October 7^th, 2009 Personnel Committee Joint Meeting with Finance Committee- Meeting Minutes

Personnel joined the Finance Committee to update them on the work and how the work impacts the FY11 Budget

• Personnel reviewed work to date on staffing reviews on Special Ed, PHS/DHS Staffing Review and CBHBS/PATHS staffing review.
• Jaimey asked about “bubble in staffing”-aging out trends- what are they? Will ask Joline if this would be a part of Michael Maciekowich’s from Atron Solutions presentation to come on the analysis of salaries etc… for our employees outside of BASE
• Would like Personnel to review the substitute policy- how do we handle better- long term sub needs
• How do we handle unanticipated needs- enrollments- would like to see #’s, costs associated, how do we react budget wise and form the historical data
• Plan is for Personnel to come back to Finance 2^nd or 3^rd week in December with final conclusions from the complete data review Personnel has done so finance can work into FY11 and future budgets
