III. Discussion
· Discussed that interview panel’s job is to rate applicant’s based on
Information presented during interview. School Committee will make initial selection of applicant’s to be interviewed.
Role of interview panel is advisory only.
· Could panel offer suggestions/input on all applicants before being
reviewed by school committee for initial selection? (this will be a SC function)
· Rating criteria established at prior school committee workshop (reviewed with panel)
· Reminded group that there is more reviewing of applicants beyond initial
Screening through ref checking and site visits.
· Concern about issue of not being able to discuss applicants after
interviews - can this be reconsidered?
· Are not aggressively recruiting with a recruiter per se.
· Could State of Schools report be made available on line? Not at this time, concern that it would confuse application process.
