In attendance: Subcommittee members Jenna Vendil, Marnie Morrione, and Justin Costa (Chair), Superintendent Morse, COO Mark Terison

I. Field Trip Policy and Procedures- IJOA

Members discussed the policy related to field trips and determined there were additional questions for counsel. No action was taken.

II. Busing Policy and Procedures- EEA/ EEA-R

Members discussed the policy so as to ensure that the Superintendent would have authority to make certain exceptions. It was determined that no such revision was necessary. However, in reviewing the policy’s procedures it became clear that they were significantly outdated; the Subcommittee directed the Superintendent and COO to update the procedures for review at the next Subcommittee meeting.

III. Discussion of Policies up for Review

Based on previous work done for the Curriculum Task Force during 2009, the Subcommittee reviewed several policies for possible deletion.

The Subcommittee voted 3-0 to recommend deletion of policy ILA.

The subcommittee elected to take no action on policy IKAA until reaction from Principals could be gathered.

The subcommittee concluded that policy IHBAI belongs in procedures, but elected to take no action at this time in order to give the Superintendent time to review and recommend which policies it should be attached to.

The Subcommittee voted 3-0 to recommend deletion of policy IHBAG.

The Subcommittee voted 3-0 to recommend deletion of policy IA.
