Special Programs Title Bar
Portland Adult Education offers programming in the vocational, academic and community life (arts) areas. Arts programming is offered in a class and workshop format throughout the year, September through August. Our students range in age from 18 to 82. Academic programs include high school diploma courses and English as a Second Language. Over 50 language groups are involved in learning English. Vocational programs include computer skills, office skills, and trades.
Community Life courses encompass arts, foreign language, cooking, music, photography, dance and a wide range of crafts.

Networking and Support Groups Title Bar
Courses are held daytime and evenings, Monday through Saturday. We use classroom spaces at our Douglass Street and Baxter School locations, most school buildings, Community Centers and other community sites. We have satellite programs at works sites, housing communities, homeless shelters, and the county jail.
