Special Programs Title Bar
Housed in a 130 year old building, Peaks Island School has been the site of education to seven generations of young people. Small Class Size. Team Teaching.
Support of Special Needs & Interests: Chorus, Band, Strings, Project Exploration & Special Education. Literacy through Reading Recovery, Reading Mentors and Book Buddies. Sharing of skills & talents through volunteering.
Schoolwide social curriculum that empowers all students to be responsible, respectful, and safe.

Networking and Support Groups Title Bar
Parent Teacher Organization meets monthly to plan support strategies for academics & environment. The Arts Committee meets monthly to plan and fund arts enrichment activities. Contact with the Day Care provides for positive transitions.
The Star, a monthly island newsletter allows for information to reach the wider island population. The PTO and the school staff publish The Link, a bi-monthly school newsletter.
