Acting with the approval of the Superintendent or his/her designee, each principal shall be the chief administrator of his/her school. The principal is responsible for the administration, supervision, and evaluation of pupils, professional and classified personnel.
The principal serves as the educational leader in his/her assigned building. To that end, the principal is responsible for creating and maintaining a culture committed to learning at every level for staff, students, and the broader community.
The principal is directly accountable to the Assistant Superintendent for the general operation and administration of the school, educational program planning and development, and teacher evaluations.
