POLICY IMPLEMENTATION/REGULATIONS DEVELOPMENT
The Superintendent has overall responsibility for implementing the Portland Board of Public Education’s (Board) policies/procedures. The Superintendent and their designee(s) may develop administrative regulations as necessary to implement he Board’s policies/procedures and for the smooth operation of the Portland Public Schools. These regulations must be in every respect consistent with the Board’s applicable policies/procedures.
The Board reserves the discretion to review administrative regulations, but will generally not approve them unless required by law or regulation.
