ADULT EDUCATION PROGRAMS
The School Committee shall provide adult education courses which shall include academic, vocational, a vocational, and industry-based subjects. The Portland Adult Community Education Program shall also provide courses in basic education and courses leading to the High School Equivalency Certificate. The director of adult education shall be responsible for the operation of all Portland Community Education Programs.
