GRADUATION REPORTING SYSTEM
It is the mission of the Portland Public Schools to assure that all students are learning for their future. To assist students in their future journeys, a graduation reporting system that is accurate, consistent and informative is necessary. It is, therefore, the policy of the Portland School Committee to institute a graduation reporting system that provides a comprehensive profile of student achievement and a comprehensive profile of the school from which the student graduates.
The Administration, professional staff, and stakeholders will create the procedures for instituting the graduation reporting system. These procedures will be collaboratively agreed upon with the goal of creating an accurate, consistent and informative reporting system. The Policy Committee will review and publicize interim and final drafts.
The established graduation reporting system procedures, upon recommendation from the Superintendent and the Policy Committee, shall be submitted to the Portland School Committee for approval.
