COVID Protocols for 2022-2023

The federal Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has formalized its COVID-19 recommendations for schools for safe in-person learning this coming year. These recommendations prioritize keeping students in school by reducing the need to quarantine when exposed to someone with COVID and de-emphasizing other interventions such as screening testing. We have worked with our medical team to develop our own protocols that reflect these recommendations.

Our protocols include optional masking except in certain situations; staff promoting strong hand and respiratory hygiene; custodians continuing frequent cleaning of high-touch surfaces; upgrades to our ventilation systems and the continued expansion of our outdoor learning strategies; and welcoming visitors and volunteers to our buildings as long as they follow our protocols. The protocols also state that we will consider requiring universal masking as recommended by the CDC as a mitigation strategy if we experience high COVID-19 community levels. Learn the details of our COVID Protocols for 2022-2023. Also, to help keep everyone as safe as possible, all staff and students are strongly encouraged to get a COVID-19 vaccine and booster, if eligible.
