Portland Adult Education put together a cycling team to participate in the Dempsey Challenge in September – and PAE Communications & Outreach Coordinator Adam MacDonald described this intrepid team’s success in both pedaling and fundraising:
“Members of #TeamPAE hit the road with pride on September 21, taking on the Dempsey Challenge in support of the Dempsey Center and Maine families affected by cancer. Alison Perkins, Pierre Avignon, Heather Moore Wood, and David Wood didn’t just meet the challenge—they owned it—pedaling an impressive 65 miles through the towns of Lewiston, Lisbon, Durham, Freeport, Brunswick, Pownal, and back! Their passion wasn’t just in the ride—they rallied together to raise over $3,500 for this important cause. And to top it all off? They got to show off their snazzy new Team PAE tees, adding a stylish spin to their inspiring journey. The entire staff at Portland Adult Education wishes to congratulate Alison, Pierre, Heather, and David. Go, Team PAE, go!”
