The fourth monthly meeting of the district’s new Community Advisory Committee on Attendance Boundaries for PreK-8 Schools took place on Nov. 21. The committee’s agenda called for defining neighborhoods, identifying hazard zones and reviewing and assessing the district’s walking guidelines.
The Boundaries Committee, which the Board of Public Education formally created in August, meets monthly.
The committee is slated to present a recommended map of school boundaries to the Board in February but Board Chair Sarah Lentz, who also chairs the Boundaries Committee, cautioned at the Board’s Nov. 19 meeting that the committee’s timeline could be delayed until it gets the most accurate demographic data to review.
