Ann Marie Phanor, who enjoyed a long and rewarding career as a bus driver and later custodian with the Portland Public Schools, died unexpectedly at home on March 5.  Ms. Phanor, 63, was a 1978 graduate of Portland High School. Known for her outgoing and lively personality, she worked for many years in the Transportation Department and especially loved driving a school bus for several decades. Ms. Phanor worked most recently at Talbot Community School as a custodian. The Portland Public Schools family expresses deepest condolences to Ms. Phanor’s family, friends and colleagues.
