A WGME, Channel 13, story that ran on Nov. 7, 2025, is about Rowe Elementary School fifth-graders completing their Robot Petting Zoo project, a four-day STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) lesson in which the robot creatures students made “came to life” with lights, motion and sound. It's an example of the hands-on learning opportunities that PPS provides for elementary students through its Mobile Makerspace.
