All PPS eighth-grade students will be asked to rank which high schools they would prefer to attend by January 24. To help students make an informed decision, Make It Happen sponsored a high school information session on Dec. 4 that brought together MIH high school student representatives and eighth-grade Make It Happen students to the Portland Public Library.  DHS, PHS and Casco students shared their passion and knowledge about their respective high schools. The eighth-graders learned about schedules, extracurriculars and the importance of becoming involved in the community of whichever high school they choose for next year. The event gave the middle-schoolers the opportunity to hear the perspective of high school students in order to make a more educated decision about which high school would best suit their needs as learners. This is such an exciting time for eighth-graders and MIH wishes them the best in their high school endeavors!
