The Multilingual & Multicultural Center is thrilled to welcome Todd Chretien, MLC’s newest Family and Community Engagement Specialist working with the Spanish-speaking community. Todd joined the program on Sept. 3, 2024. Todd is not a stranger to the Portland Public Schools, having worked as a contract interpreter and as a Spanish teacher at Deering High School and Edward Little High School in Auburn. Todd is a professional translator. His latest translation is Pancho Villa, a Narrative Biography by Paco Ignacio Taibo (available now from Seven Stories Press). In his spare time, he grows organic vegetables at Fair Share Farm. He lives in Portland with his wife, who is a teacher at Deering High School, and is the proud parent of a Casco Bay High School graduate.
