William Tierney, a senior at Portland High School, was spotlighted in a recent article in National Fisherman. A family friend and author of the article, Katie Norton, had helped to edit William's college essay, in which he wrote about his experience fishing with a longtime lobsterman on Long Island, where William’s family lives. His essay inspired Norton to write the article in National Fisherman. William plans to attend Maine Maritime Academy in the fall.
