Rowe Elementary School capped off the 2023-2024 school year with a field day enjoyed by the whole school community, physical education teacher Rene Custeau reported. Here’s his account of the event:

“On Tuesday, June 11, Rowe Elementary School was a hub of laughter, cheers, and boundless energy as all 500 of our students came together for a day of fun-filled activities at Rowe Field Day. From the first kickoff moment to kick off the festivities, the air was electric with excitement.

One of the highlights of the day was undoubtedly the variety of water-themed activities that had students gleefully getting wet and wild. From water blasters to sponge relay races, the joy of splashing around on a warm spring day was evident on every face. The squeals of delight echoed across the field as students embraced the refreshing chaos of the water games.

But the fun didn't stop there. Our students also showcased their teamwork and competitive spirit in a series of activities that had everyone on the edge of their seats. From parachute to hippity hop races, each event was met with cheers of encouragement from fellow classmates and spectators alike.

None of this would have been possible without the incredible support of our dedicated Rowe teachers, staff, and parents. Their efforts ensured that every activity ran smoothly and safely, allowing our students to fully immerse themselves in the day's festivities. Their enthusiasm and commitment to creating a memorable experience for our students truly made all the difference.

As the day drew to a close and tired, but happy students made their way home, it was clear that Rowe Field Day 2024 had been a resounding success. The memories created on this special day will undoubtedly be cherished for years to come, thanks to the collective effort and boundless enthusiasm of everyone involved.”
