This program is designed for foreign-trained professionals who have worked as a teacher or are interested in becoming an educator in Maine by working as an Educational Technician 3; substitute teacher; and, if qualified, work toward Maine teacher certification.

Students complete a series of five courses in order to complete this program, including a practicum experience in a local public school. In addition students receive advising and assistance in the job search process.

Interested students must:

• have a CASAS score of 225 or higher
• have attended at least 3 years of college/university
• have the ability to access relevant diplomas, degrees, and transcripts
• complete digital skills testing and an interview
