Lovely tulips recently bloomed at Lincoln Middle School, serving as symbols of hope and happiness as part of the Yellow Tulip Project. The purpose of the international project is to end the stigma associated with mental illness and to build community. Lincoln social worker Kathy Randall and sustainability science teacher Christel Driscoll partner in the project to remind students and the Lincoln community that there is hope and help if you let someone know and talk with someone. Students from the garden club and classes helped plant the tulips provided by the Yellow Tulip Project. Ms.Randall provides information to the staff about the meaning behind this project and promotes mental health awareness in the school.
