The Pihcintu Chorus is performing at the Rines Auditorium at the Portland Public Library on Saturday, Oct. 15, at 2 p.m. This free event is a great opportunity for the Portland Public Schools community to show up and support the girls chorus, which welcomes immigrant children from around the globe and helps restart young lives through music. Many of the singers are Portland Public Schools students. Pihcintu has performed in front of more than 250,000 people and several million more via broadcast and streaming media and has even sung before the United Nations in New York. Their fans include singer/songwriter Bono and the chorus has a newly released album.
