Members of the Portland Fire Department’s Rosemont Station paid a visit to Lincoln Middle School last month with donations to provide for the students of their community. Inspired by this act of kindness, seventh-grader Miguel Ndayikeza volunteered to help Lincoln social worker Kathy Randall, and offered to help her carry items to The Locker Project area. Ms. Randall distributed a new winter coat and boots to one student, art supplies to another and toiletries for The Locker Project. The Rosemont Station also donated some gift cards so Ms. Randall can buy additional items as the need arises for many of the school's newcomer families. Lincoln is very grateful to the fire station for supporting the school community.
