Lincoln Middle School seventh-graders will inform about and advocate for important social issues during presentations at the school on Tuesday, June 4. The presentations will take place in the seventh-grade classrooms on the first floor from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
This is a culminating event after the 2-year social studies loop that asks students to draw on all their skills as researchers and writers as well as on the content they have been learning this year.
They have chosen issues they care about and are designing campaigns to inform people about their issue and advocate for change. Issues include the gender pay gap, plastics in our oceans, protecting bees, immigration policy, racial profiling and many more.
