Three PATHS students in teacher Diane Manzi’s Commercial Art course took first, second and third place in a competition sponsored by Artist & Craftsman Supply titled: "Cryptid in its environment."
Merriam-Webster defines a cryptid as “an animal (such as Sasquatch or the Loch Ness Monster) that has been claimed to exist but never proven to exist.”
Their depictions of cryptids earned the PATHS students, all of whom attend Casco Bay High School, the top prizes. The winners were:
- Elijah Jan Pieter van Voost van Beest, a senior, who took first place and won a $75 gift certificate
- Natasha Malia, a senior, who won second place and a $50 gift certificate
- Eve Leque, a junior, who took third place and won a $25 gift certificate
