Superintendent Xavier Botana issued a statement on Monday, May 16, regarding the May 14 racist massacre at a supermarket in Buffalo – where most of the victims were Black. "An attack like this grieves us all, no matter where it takes place," he said. Botana called on the PPS community to continue to work to address harmful biases and stereotypes.
