The Portland Board of Public Education and Superintendent Emmanuel Caulk on April 7 honored the automotive team from Portland Arts and Technology High School on the team’s first place finish at this year's Universal Technical Institute Top Tech Challenge.
The team of Evan Lunn, from Gray-New Gloucester High School, and Collin Lavigne from Casco Bay High School, took top honors among the 27 teams from all over New England. This was the first year PATHS competed in this event. Both team members earned a $2000 scholarship to UTI AND a custom UTI/Snap-on tool chest with a $10,000 voucher for Tools for the auto program at PATHS.
“Congratulations to Evan, Collin and instructor Paul Fearon on this impressive win,” Caulk said.
