Two Portland High School students used their singing prowess to help open Portland Sea Dogs' games this week.
Holly Hinchliffe, a PHS junior, sang the national anthem at the Sea Dogs game on the evening of Monday, April 13. The next night, Tuesday, April 14, Maria Boissonneault, a PHS sophomore, sang the national anthem at the game then.
Andrew Chipman, PHS music teacher, said the performance of both girls was “tremendous.”
“These girls have real poise and are very professional with their presentation,” he said. “It's pretty competitive to get to sing the national anthem, so these young ladies have proven themselves to be among the best of the best.”
