FY 2026 School Budget Development Timeline and Documents
The Portland Public Schools will kick off the development of the budget process for the 2025-2026 school year with a public budget forum on Feb. 4, 2025. The process for the fiscal year 2026 (FY26) budget is slated to conclude on June 10, 2025, when city voters decide in a public budget referendum whether to approve the school budget.

This Feb. 10 meeting of the School Board's Finance Committee included a review of the FY25 budget, a look at potential investments for FY26, and presentations on the district’s Make It Happen program, volunteer corps and summer school.
