Retrieve electronic copies of official college transcripts (if you have paper copies, you can scan them.) You will need a credit card for payment: $100 for first certification, $35 for each additional.
In 3-6 weeks, check MEIS account for a letter from the DoE under "View Correspondence Here" at the bottom of the page. This letter is very important and will say which certification(s) you are eligible for, which classes were accepted, and what requirements you must still meet.
If you are eligible for a teaching certificate, you must ask for it to be issued before it is active. WAIT until you have a position to ask for it to be issued.
