Island Transportation: Ferry Pass Program
All island middle school and high school students attending PPS schools will receive an annual ferry pass on the first day of school at the Casco Bay Lines ticket window. Students must carry these passes every day in order to board the ferry.
If students forget their annual pass, they can get a single-day pass from the front office of their middle or high school. New this year is that each student is allowed only one free single-day pass per school year. Staff will keep track of the issuance of these passes. The cost of both the annual and single-day passes is paid for by the school district.
After a student has used their one free single-day pass, it becomes the family’s responsibility to purchase a ticket for that day. Please also note that single-day passes are not valid on weekends, holidays, or other non-school days.
