At Sips, Sweets, and Stories, every sip provides a glimpse into the rich cultures and traditions that make up our vibrant local community. Enjoy refreshing iced teas and lattes from Le’Cha, warming herbal blends crafted by Homegrown Herb and Tea, bright and fruity El Salvadoran refreshments, innovative Vietnamese drinks from Cong Tu Bot, along with many other international drinks. These thoughtfully prepared beverages- kindly provided by some of Portland’s finest restaurants and cafes and our amazing multilingual staff- highlight the global flavors that reflect the multilingual students we’re celebrating.

Le’cha

A combination of the word “leche”, meaning “milk” in Spanish, and the word “cha” translating to “tea” in Thai, Le’Cha crafts delicious Thai-inspired drinks and treats made with love in Portland, Maine. A favorite amongst PPS students for their delicious bubble tea and lattes, Le’Cha has is quickly becoming an established tradition in the Deering and Greater Portland communities. 

Homegrown Herb and Tea

Brewing up herbal concoctions for more than 18 years, Homegrown Herb and Tea was created based on a strong passion for blending medicinal herbal teas in the tradition of the Old World Apothecary. With the goal of helping people heal and balance their lives through the science of Ayurvedic medicine, Homegrown creates and serves delicious herbal teas that warms the souls of the greater Portland community.

Flores Restaurant

Located in the heart of downtown Portland, Flores Restaurant has been serving delicious Hispanic food and drinks with recipes originating from El Salvador since 2015. Featuring refreshing drinks such as Guanabana (Soursop) juice, Horchata, and Marañon (cashew nectar), Flores Restaurant has a drink suited for anyone’s tastes. 

Cong Tu Bot

Inspired by the idea of a restaurant row in Saigon, Cong Tu Bot is a Vietnamese restaurant serving classic street food dishes with a new twist. Featuring delicious drinks such as pineapple shiso soda and iced jasmine pandan tea, Cong Tu Bot will have your taste buds transported to the street food markets of Vietnam with just one sip.
