Portland Board of Public Education Chair Sarah Thompson reminded all Portland residents to vote in the upcoming Nov. 4 elections. New grant to fund summer, after-school meal programs

The city of Portland has received a $50,000 grant from The National League of Cities to create programs providing children with after-school and summer meals, the city announced Oct. 23. This $50,000 grant will support ongoing efforts to expand summer meal programs across the city and to break new ground by establishing programs that provide nutritious meals for kids after school as well.  READ MORE...
School Board, Superintendent Recognize 2014 Retirees

Members of the Portland Board of Public Education and Portland Superintendent Emmanuel Caulk held a special ceremony at the board’s Oct. 21 meeting to recognize 12 Portland Public Schools’ employees who recently chose to retire. IDEXX Gives Lyman Moore "Science Makeover"
