
The Portland Public Schools (PPS) accepts funding through the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) of 1965. As part of ESEA, PPS is required to provide reasonable opportunity for public comment on the ESEA consolidated application and consider such comment prior to submission of the application, which details how PPS plans to use the funding.Our ESEA and Title I Coordinators have been working with our schools and our districtwide ESEA Application Team to develop a draft proposal for Title I, II and III funding for the 2016-17 school year.
PPS has created a summary of the draft application including all priorities and goals established by the ESEA Application Team. The public is invited to review the summary and provide comments and feedback for review prior to the submission of the application. PPS will be accepting feedback through July 12, 2016.
