Five Portland High School students recently attended JMG's annual Leadership Education Conference: Naumu Charles, Amy Umutoni, Nila Seddiqi, Mahdi Al Bazaz, and Ayub Mohamud.

JMG stands for Jobs for Maine's Graduates, a statewide, private nonprofit that works within Maine's public schools to help students reach their fullest potential. JMG provides students with the skills and resources they need to graduate from high school ready to succeed in postsecondary education and careers.

“This group did a fantastic job representing Portland High School during our overnight trip to the Pine Tree Camp in Rome, Maine, on Thursday and Friday last week,” said Arthur Mosen, PHS Jobs for Maine's Graduates specialist. “They participated in team building exercises, gained new leadership skills, and made new friends from JMG programs all over the state of Maine.”

JMG provides 5,500 students a year with the skills and experience they need to succeed in high school, postsecondary education, and careers. JMG graduates become engaged members of their communities, productive adults in the workforce and contributors to Maine's economy. For more information, visit www.jmg.org.
