For the District 3 seat, incumbent Laurie Davis, who is the executive director of TRIO programs at the University of Southern Maine, is seeking her third three-year term on the school board. She is being challenged by William Linnell, a former Cape Elizabeth town councilor who is semiretired and works part time as a carpenter and fisherman.

Two at-large board seats also are up for election and there are two candidates for those seats. Incumbent Anna Trevorrow, an assistant clerk for the Maine Superior Court, is running for a third term. Political newcomer Roberto Rodriguez, a physical therapy assistant, is running for the other seat. It is being vacated by school board member Pious Ali, who is running for City Council.
